Coaching Experience:

I coached with the Maine Highlanders volleyball club from 2003-2004, provided coaching instruction for Volleyball Week at Camp Berea in 2002 and 2003, and coached with Maine Juniors for five seasons over 2007 through 2014.

Playing Experience:

I played four seasons with the Maine Highlander volleyball Club from 1995 through 1999 and played with the University of Maine’s Women’s Club volleyball team from 2000-2004, captaining the team in 2003 and 2004. Throughout this time and recently I have played in Maine State Volleyball Association tournaments, beach volleyball tournaments at Hunts Hill and many adult indoor and beach leagues throughout the state.

Coaches Outlook:

I am taking a hiatus from coaching to raise my young children, but am still involved with Maine Juniors as the Tryout Leader. I also substitute coach.

Why I Love Coaching:

I enjoy introducing and sharing the sport of volleyball with young players as well as coaching players to become more skilled athletes. Playing volleyball gave me confidence, provided a sense of belonging, mentally prepared me for the peaks and valleys of real life, and encouraged me to stay healthy and fit when I was young. Sharing these concepts with players through the sport of volleyball is a way for me to give back to the volleyball community. I also really love watching players grow and adapt as they learn new skills – it’s exciting to watch their confidence build!

My Day Job:
