Coaching Staff

My Name: Kim Grant

Team: 16 Gold

Coaching Experience:

This will be my fourth year of coaching! I have previously coached for another volleyball club for two years and was the head coach for Thornton Academy’s Freshman High School team. Last year I had the opportunity to coach 16 Silver and am excited to Coach for 16 Gold this season!

Playing Experience:

I started playing volleyball my freshman year in high school. I played four years, along with playing for Maine Juniors. I am currently playing my third season at the University of Southern Maine.

Coaches Outlook:

This season, my goal is to take the opportunity of being able to be on the court and focus on having a positive attitude and outlook with this season. I think the most important thing to remember is that although times are unpredictable, we are still given the chance to be on the court and Iw ant to take advantage of that time as much as we can.

Why I Love Coaching:

As simple as this, I love coaching because of the past coaches I have had. Not only was I challenged, but I was shown the true love of volleyball that my coaches had. They have all shaped me into the person/player/coach I am today and because of them, I hope to be able to make the same impact in other’s lives like they have in mine.

My Day Job:

I am currently a full time student at USM along with working in residential at Sweetser.

Hometown:

Saco, Maine

Other Info To Share:

I am looking forward to coaching this season and can not wait to meet everyone!
