My Name: Julie Moulton
Team: Central Maine
NFHS- Heat Illness Prevention, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion
I have coached a variety of sports throughout the years, soccer, basketball, track, and volleyball. I am the varsity volleyball coach for Nokomis Regional High School. I am also the head track and field coach for our middle school track program.
I have played volleyball for 26 years. I was the team captain for my high school volleyball team in Bakersfield, California. I have also played on various base teams in the Marine Corps throughout the years. Additionally, I have played on numerous co-ed teams, regular court and beach volleyball. To say “I love volleyball” is an understatement.
Through the dedication of some amazing athletes and overwhelming support of our athletics department and community, we have been able to start an up-and-coming volleyball program in our area. I am pleased to be a part of the Maine Juniors volleyball program in central Maine and to help spread the love of this infectious sport!
Why I Love Coaching:
I have 9 kids of my own and love being around youth. Their curiosity, energy, and desire for growth inspire me to grow and be a better parent, coach, and mentor. I also love sports; so, the combination of the two leads me to coaching.
My Day Job:
I am a Language Arts teacher at Sebasticook Valley Middle School in Newport, Maine.
I am prior military, so it’s hard to establish a hometown per say. I do claim Omaha, Nebraska for the most part.
