My Name: Jordynne Copp
Team: 17 National (Assistant Coach)
This was my second year coaching at Greely High School for their freshman team, and this will be my first season with Maine Juniors as an assistant for 17 National!
I started playing my freshman year of high school and haven’t stopped since! I was a 3-year starter at Greely where I was a part of 2 championships (2010-2013), and throughout high school I played for Maine Juniors. After high school I continued my playing career at Saint Joseph’s College as a 4-year starter and 2-year captain (2014-2017). During my senior season I was honored as 2nd team all-conference, academic all-district, and was selected to play in the 2017 New England Senior All-Star Classic. Now I continue to play in indoor/outdoor adult leagues and tournaments all over the state!
I’m looking forward to coaching this group of highly talented girls! I hope to help these girls develop their skills to the next level and to push their competitive drive.
Why I Love Coaching:
I love coaching because it’s a perfect way to give back to the sport that has given me so much. Volleyball is an amazing sport and I enjoy being able to share my love and knowledge of volleyball with younger generations.
My Day Job:
I’m a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in the Critical Care Unit. My job can be pretty stressful so it’s great to be able to come to volleyball and let go of all that stress!
I am from Cumberland, Maine and went to Greely High School.
My favorite food is sushi!
