Maine Juniors has been THE off-season Club for girls in Maine – from beginner to elite. This year, we have almost 20 teams competing at the 15U and 16U age levels, from Club to Elite.
All teams at the 15U and 16U level compete in 5 sanctioned NERVA (New England Regional Volleyball Association) tournaments throughout New England. Our Club Level teams normally have at least one “home tournament” and travel an hour to 90 minutes from Portland for others. Some teams choose to play extra tournaments, including friendly matches,NERVA Qualifiers for the open level, and national tournament events. These extra tournaments are dependent on the individual team and their coach and the schedule varies each year.
As with all our teams, our mission is:
- Improve access and availability to the sport of volleyball to girls ages 6 and older.
- Introduce the sport of volleyball to girls ages 6 and older to foster interest, enjoyment and skills prior to entering high school athletic programs.
- Supplement high school junior varsity and varsity programs to maintain and enhance technical and cognitive aspects of the game.
- Develop highly skilled varsity players by providing a highly competitive level of play and preparing them to play at the collegiate level if desired.
If you have questions about our program, please feel free to email us: email@example.com.
