Join Bowdoin College Coach Taylor Stevens for a series of position-specific clinics for setters! We will focus on technical skills, diversifying your offense, and expanding your setter IQ over the course of weekly clinics hosted on the Mondays below. We look forward to having you join us!
A maximum of 15 players will be allowed for the most personalized feedback. A minimum of 8 players is needed to hold the camp.
We recognize that summer can be a busy time and a player may not be able to make all five sessions. You are welcome to register even if you cannot make all five sessions.
Who: Players entering grade 8 as of fall 2021 through class of 2021 graduates
When: Mondays, June 21, June 28, July 12, July 19, July 26 | 4:30 – 5:30 PM
Where: The air-conditioned courts of the Maine Sports Arena – 15 Lund Road in Saco
Clinician: Taylor Stevens, Assistant Coach, Bowdoin College Girls’ Volleyball, a program regarded as the best in the state of Maine
Coach Stevens joined Bowdoin College as the assistant coach of the volleyball program in the summer of 2019. In her first season at Bowdoin, she assisted the Polar Bears to a Regional Championship and an Elite 8 appearance. Prior to Bowdoin, she was the assistant coach for Wheaton College (Norton, MA) where the Lyons enjoyed the two finest seasons in program history. She also started a high school boys’ volleyball program at Norton High School and coached for Lockdown Volleyball Club for two years.
A graduate of Stonehill College, Stevens served as a defensive specialist for her first two years and was the Skyhawks primary setter for her junior and senior seasons. Prior to her collegiate playing career at Stonehill, Stevens was the Rhode Island High School Gatorade player of the year while attending Ponaganset High School. She was named to the Rhode Island All-State team all four years of high school.

- Regular registration (between June 8 and June 18) = $120
No last-minute registrations; registration closes June 18 at 8 PM.
Camp payments are 100% reimbursable if cancellation (for any reason) occurs before June 7. Refunds are 50% between June 8 and June 18 for any reason or 90% with proof of COVID. No refunds after June 18 except with proof of COVID.
COVID protocols will be followed and all players must have a COVID waiver on file. If you did not play for a Maine Juniors team during the 2020-2021 season, an electronic waiver must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than June 18 or you will not be allowed in the Arena. If you are a current player, you do not need to resubmit a waiver. If you have already submitted a waiver for another Summer 2021 camp, you are also all set.
