Maine Juniors Volleyball Coaches and Volunteer Administrative Team are fired up for another great season! Below are the FIVE steps you should take to complete your registration for the 2020-2021 Maine Juniors season. Registration is not complete without all FIVE steps.
NOTE: USAV registration has moved to SportsEngine (from Webpoint). Each family should create a SportsEngine account and then register their players from that account. The USAV registration must be complete and paid before coming to Maine Juniors tryouts.
When registering in SportsEngine, the player does not select a club. After Maine Juniors tryouts players will receive an email invitation to join a Maine Juniors team. Accepting that invitation will add the player to the Maine Juniors club.
For instructions on creating an account and registering for USAV under SportsEngine please use this link: https://nevolleyball.org/parents-athletes-registration-information/
USAV is the parent organization under which Maine Juniors operates. Each player must be registered with USAV before coming to tryouts. The USAV membership fee must be paid online when registering.
As noted above, this year there is a switch to SportsEngine for registration: https://memberships.sportsengine.com/org/new-england-region-volleyball
You must have a SEASON Juniors Membership to play. New this year, USAV offers a Tryout Membership. Do not select this option if you intend to play the full season or you will have to pay twice for a membership. Be sure to select the SEASON membership. Your 7-digit membership number will be printed on your member card, which can be found in SportsEngine under My SportsEngine –> Household –> Player Name.
Please note: When you register for USAV membership, there is a box for “Do you want to play in college?” If you click yes, you are registered with a NCSA recruiting account. You do not need to click yes! The NCSA is a very aggressive recruiting organization that tries to sell you services. Please keep in mind that Maine Juniors has a recruiting coordinator (Louise Hester) who can help you with your recruiting needs for free. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 2. Fill out the Maine Juniors Tryout Form
Please answer every question thoughtfully and accurately and submit the form only once. This information is used for coaches making selections as well as club contacts for team communications and other club information throughout the year. This form will let us know you will be coming to tryouts!
This year, the registration form will also act as your INTENT TO COMMIT to the team(s) for which you would like to be considered. You will VERIFY your commitment at the bottom after reading the agreement. You and your parent will have the chance to review your selections prior to check-in on a phone call with a volunteer admin.
